I have a clasic army M-4 and I want to know how to remove the orange tip and replace it with the black tip that came with it.

Start a new thread for a new question.
That said, It is probably glued on. Hopefully, it is also threaded. If it were up to me, I would just break it off and only use the new flash hider. If you want to preserve the orange tip, you might have to somehow heat the glue(usually with boiling water or a hair dryer) and loosen the flash hider. Also, look for any sort of pin or hex screw holding it in place.

Topic split. Please do not Thread - Hijack.

As for your problem, A good pair of vice grips and a twist will break away the cheap hot glue holding it onto the breads. Make sure there are no tiny worm screws on the threads though, typically these will have a .5 mm hex head.

If it does not come off with brute force, use a hair dryer and heat it before twisting it off.

Good Luck
